Born in Banja Luka, Bosnia, Esad Širbegović left during the Bosnian genocide in 1992. He lived in the US and Austria, and now resides in Zurich, Switz... erland. Trained in computer science, he is a writer and analyst focused on Islamophobia, genocide, and geopolitics. He is currently working on establishing emerging Bosniak Studies. Esad pursued his education across continents, completing his bachelor's degree in the United States before moving to Austria, where he earned a master's degree in computer science from the Technical University of Vienna. He worked for the Austrian government at the Federal Computing Center (Bundesrechenzentrum) in Vienna for many years. Currently residing in Zurich, Switzerland, Esad is a writer and analyst for various Bosnian media outlets. His work is deeply influenced by his experiences and focuses on the issues of Islamophobia and genocide.
