Goodbye for now!
What might be one of the most unexpected turnarounds you will ever see, England pull off a great escape to book their place in the quarterfinals.
Slovakia were the better team for most of the match, which culminated with the Schranz goal to put them up early.
But twin efforts from Bellingham and Kane ensured that England avoided an ignominious exit from the tournament.
They next face Switzerland on July 6 for a chance to go through into the semifinals.
Thank you for keeping us company throughout this encounter, and till the next time, this is Rohan Sharma signing off for Al Jazeera Sport.

‘In the big moments, he steps up’
England captain Kane had this to say about Bellingham, who scored the miraculous equaliser with his side on the brink of elimination: “One of the best in our country’s history, I reckon. What a player he is.
“He works so hard for the team. He shows what he can do.
“In the big moments, he steps up. That is what we need, and he did that for us today.”
Wow. Just… WOW.

England face Switzerland in the quarterfinals
It wasn’t the most convincing of displays, but some brilliance from Bellingham, followed by Kane’s go-ahead header early in the first half of extra time, means England will go into the final eight.
They next face Switzerland, who will undoubtedly be high on confidence after knocking out Italy with a superlative 2-0 performance.
Simply epic.

Full-time: England 2-1 Slovakia (aet)
Despite some last-ditch advances, and a late Ivan Toney chance at the other end, Slovakia are officially out of Euro 2024.
England will consider themselves mighty lucky to have advanced into the quarterfinals.
There will be plenty of questions posed by the media about the quality of the performance.
Spare a thought for Slovakia, who were the better team for large periods of the match.

Slovakia win free kick
Gallagher’s late tackle from behind earns Slovakia a glorious chance from about 30 metres out.
Tupta, who came on earlier for Kucka, is tasked with the delivery.
He instead decides to go for goal, but it is well over the bar.

Vavro goes into the book
That was reminiscent of a hard screen from the NBA.
Eze ran into a wall without seeing what was in front of him, and as such Vavro goes into the naughty book.

Half-time in extra time: England 2-1 Slovakia
The referee blows the whistle to end this first act of extra time.
England have revealed their intentions here as they look to preserve the current scoreline.
Southgate may consider some defensive subs to try and meet this aim.
The onus is on Slovakia now to try and force the issue.
It will be interesting to see what tactical changes they make for the upcoming second half.
As predicted, Kane and Bellingham have been replaced by Conor Gallagher and Ezri Konsa.

Pekarik chance goes begging
Benes whips in a cross to Pekarik by the far post from the left side of the box.
Despite Eze on him, Pekarik does get a knee on the chance, but sends it skywards.
That was so close to being a Slovakian equaliser, and they will consider themselves unlucky there.

Saka goes down
After Palmer tried to force a shot inside the box on the right side, the ball finds Saka.

England change tactics
Looks like they have adopted a 3-3-2-2 formation, with Eze and Saka acting as wing backs.
This means they will be trying to hold onto the lead.
Slovakia will want to push forward here as their campaign is now very much on the line.

GOAL! Kane scores. England 2-1 Slovakia
Kane has flipped this match on its head as England go ahead early in extra time!
Slovakia fans are stunned after the two goals coming out of nowhere.
The goal comes courtesy of an Eze header into the box from the left side.
Kane weaves in on the right side of the box, and heads the ball towards the far post, with Dubvravka having no chance at saving that.
This has to be one of the most phenomenal comebacks from England in a major tournament, but still there is plenty of time left in this match.
