It’s a wrap
Flamengo are crowned Copa Libertadores champions for the fourth time in their history, and the third time in just seven years.
Palmeiras, who were unable to quite capture their majestic best, will rue some of the chances they spurned.
We hope you enjoyed our coverage of today’s final, and on behalf of Kevin Hand and me, this is Rohan Sharma signing off.

Flamengo win third title in seven years
They were the better side for most of the match, before Danilo’s goal in the 69th minute forced Palmeiras to shift gears.
Palmeiras could have equalised on the back of Roque, who had a wonderful chance in front of goal, before sending it skywards.
In the end, despite having five shots, Palmeiras did not have a single one at goal.
Flamengo continues Brazil’s successful run of late in the tournament, making it seven straight years a team from their country has lifted the trophy.

Flamengo draw free kick
Everton wins a wonderful free-kick opportunity for Flamengo just outside the box, on the left side.
Everton decides to go for goal, and almost finds the far post, if it wasn’t for Miguel’s valiant diving save.
The ball deflects to Varela on the right side, who has a shot at goal, but sends it over the bar.
Just before, the fourth official signalled for five additional minutes of stoppage time.

Roque misses glorious chance
This comes off another corner, with the ball falling to Roque eventually inside the box, just in front of goal.
With just the keeper to beat, he inexplicably sends it over the bar, much to the dismay of Palmeiras fans the world over.
It looks like it came off his marker as Palmeiras win another corner. This time, it comes from the right side, with Rossi punching it away from danger.
