    Full time: Barcelona 4-4 Atletico Madrid

    The first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid ends 4-4.

    Alvarez scored in the first minute and Griezmann added another in the sixth as Atletico went 2-0 up for an incredible start.

    Then, Pedri and Cubarsi scored in the 19th and 21st minutes each as Barcelona levelled the score before Martinez headed home to put the hosts 3-2 up at the break.

    Lewandowski came off the bench to score Barca’s fourth and it looked like they were set for a comeback win, but Atletico shifted gears late in the game, with Llorente scoring in the 84th minute to ignite hopes of a turnaround.

    Finally, Sorlorth struck the equaliser in stoppage time, as Atletico secured a hard-fought 4-4 draw.

    The teams will now meet in the second leg at Metropolitano Stadium on April 2.

    Atletico were initially leading 2-0 within the opening six minutes before Barca fought back hard and led 3-2 at halftime.

    Barca added another in the second half for a 4-2 lead but Atletico struck twice, including in stoppage time, to level things.
