    European round-up

It was an entertaining evening across Europe as the Champions League playoffs continue to throw up some dramatic results.

Club Brugge scored a last-minute equaliser to secure a 3-3 home draw against Atletico Madrid on a dramatic night in Belgium.

The away side were 2-0 up but goals from Onyedika and Tresoldi pulled the hosts back. An Ordonez own goal put Atletico back ahead with just more than 10 minutes remaining, but Christos Tzolis scored in the 89th minute to secure a draw for Club Brugge.

Elsewhere, two quick goals from Patrik Schick were enough for Bayer Leverkusen to overcome Olympiakos in Athens.

In the early game this evening, Anthony Gordon scored four goals as Newcastle United won 6-1 at Qarabag.

    Inter with work to do

Last season’s finalists have it all to do next week as they look to overturn a 3-1 first leg deficit.

Cristian Chivu made five changes for this game and the gamble didn’t pay off as Inter struggled to find fluidity on Bodo/Glimt’s plastic pitch.

They’ll still fancy their chances at the San Siro next Tuesday, but will need to put in a vastly improved performance.

    Bodo/Glimt upset the odds again!

They beat Manchester City at home, won away at Atletico Madrid and now Bodo/Glimt have pulled off another spectacular win in their tiny home stadium.

Inter Milan are the latest team to fall short in the Article Circle and have a huge job in the second leg at the San Siro next week.

After a quiet first half, the hosts opened the scoring through Fet. Inter hit back 10 minutes later, with Esposito scoring from close range.

It looked like the Italian side were going to go on and outclass their opponents, but Bodo/Glimt had other ideas.

A quick-fire double from Hauge and Hogh put the home side in dreamland.
