Israel begins planned Gaza City assault as it calls up 60,000 reservists

Israel says it has begun the first stages of its planned assault to seize Gaza City. 60,000 reservists are being called up, despite renewed mediation efforts by Egypt and Qatar aimed at reaching a ceasefire.
